This quadruple-entendre song has a final message after the first three fun entendres: that we should be proud of our years and the physical traits that come with them. We've earned the aging. We've been through a lot, and the subtle "silver on the side" - our graying/silvering hair - is a reminder that we have experienced so much and learned a great deal. The premise is a country love song from a woman who observes the characteristics of her husband that make him what she adores...especially that "silver on the side."
